It is my pleasure to extend greetings and offer a warm welcome for the 2009 Chinese New Spectacular in Atlanta. I would like to thank the New times Culture & Education Center and the Southeast US Falun Dafa Association for helping to make this event possible. We are honored that you have chosen Georgia to hold this celebration, and I certainly hope that your stay is enjoyable.
The remarkable history and traditions associated with the Chinese New Year are impressive, and I certainly appreciate the positive impact that Chinese culture, business, and technology has made on our state. We are very proud of the relationship that Georgia has with the Chinese community, and I look forward to what we can accomplish together in the future.
The dawn of a new year is symbolic of the chance to start fresh, to bid farewell to the past and to look forward to a future that can be as bright as we want it to be. It is a fitting time for celebration and reflection, and I hope that your celebration ushers in a new year full of promise and good fortune for us all.
